Something About Something

This will be my place to talk about everything from high school senior portraits to politics, from marketing to inspiration, from accomplishments to screw-ups. It will be about my encounters with the great and the not so great. I hope you find it thought provoking, entertaining, reasonably smart and maybe even interesting at times. I'll let you know what I think and I hope you will return the favor.

How About Some Chili ?

On Saturday, Feb. 21, The Rotary Club of North Canton will hold it's Chili Open. An all-day affair that includes golf (usually on a snowy course where no hole is longer than 100 yards) lots to eat including chili, chicken, pizza, subs, rigatoni, donuts, cookies, plus pop, coffee, and beer. All that for a $20 ticket. Plus there are door prizes and a Reverse Raffle that costs $50 with 200 tickets being sold and every 10th ticket pulled wins $100, with $2000 for the last ticket drawn.
Plus the Mid-west Championship Chili Eating Contest
with both professional and amateur eaters. Last years winner "ate" 9 pounds of Wendy's Chili in 5 minutes (and kept it down for another 5 minutes). Below are some pictures from the events last year.

If you are looking for something to cure the winter blues, the North Canton Chili Open at the Sanctuary Golf Course is it. For Tickets, send me an e-mail. rogersphotos@ameritech.net

About Me

My photo
Dick Rogers
I don't know too many other people who enjoy their job as much as me. I'm a professional photographer who photographs high school seniors, families and children and love every second of it. Through my photography I am able to bring out the personality and beauty of my subjects and create a lasting memory. I am a Christian who believes his faith requires him to serve others and share my faith through my actions. I love my wife, the Cleveland Indians, Cavaliers and would really like to love the Browns (maybe next year!)I'm a member of the Rotary Club of North Canton, OH and a proponent of in-the-home businesses.
